This program is designed to introduce you to key aspects of immunity and prevention of spreading of COVID-19 Coronavirus. This will empower you to combat the infection within your community, thus keeping your clients and colleagues exposed to minimum risk at your workplace.

The course will provide you with awareness of infection and transmission , Safety Practice & Precaution , Steps to follow upon infection.

Upon completing this course and becoming RK Covid-19 Certified , you will demonstrate to your colleagues and customers that delivering a safe service is important for you. Upon completion of the course successfully, the professional will receive a “COVID-19 safety in the workplace� certification.

RK COVID-19 CERTIFICATION

Course - Session 1

TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19

An infected person spreads the virus with every breath. This is why it is recommended to maintain a 6 feet distance when possible

Surface Transmission

Studies show that the virus can stay on surfaces for up to even 3 days.

Person to Person Transmission

Direct Contact between an infected person and someone not infected is an effective method of transmission are handshaking, hugging and kissing

Course - Session 2

Symptoms of Covid-19

Symptoms Usually develop between 2-14 days of exposure. even if you are asympomatic you are contagious and can spread to others

Most common symptoms include fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, tiredness, diarrhea, vomiting, body ache and loss of taste and smell.

Who is at risk at your workplace?

Everyone! although the risk of dying from the virus is quite low in comparison to the number of people who have the virus, both symptomatic and asymtomatic patients are at risk of spreading the virus to others

Prevention & Safety Practices

Social Distancing at the workplace

There is no way to provide a completely safe service to your clients, however keeping clients seated 6 feet from each other can reduce risks

Personal Protective Equipment

Masks must Be worn by you at all times to protect yourself and your family, encourage your clients to always wear a mask during service when possible. Masks should be replaced at least once a day. You can also keep a few disposable masks for your clients incase they do not have one and lastly always remember to wear masks properly (as shown).

Personal Protective Equipment

Gloves are single use and must be replaced after every service. It is important that you do not use a pair of gloves twice and to wash your hands with antibacterial soap for 20 seconds before and after using gloves

Practical Methods to reduce risk of infection

Always control the number of people in your saloon. Reduce the number of people waiting at your saloon. Always remember to disinfect and clean between clients. Take down contact information of your clients incase tracing is necessary and last of all do not shake hands and keep washing your hands with soap

At-risk clients

Try to allocate separate store timings for your clients who are at highest risk of contracting the virus. these clients are senior citizens over 65 years, diabetes patient, people with a history of heart disease and high blood pressure and clients with chronic (Long-Term) Conditions.
